Retrieval Grids

The retrieval grids are designed to be a quick and effective revision tool. Using them regularly will strengthen your long-term memory — in other words, they’ll help you actually remember the maths you’ve learnt, rather than forgetting it by the next test! They also highlight areas you’re less confident in, which you can then revisit using the videos and activities on the Home page.

Try to use the grids little and often — for example, at the start of a revision session or as a quick check-in at the end of the week. Don’t worry if you get questions wrong: that’s the whole point! Mistakes show you what to focus on next.

Because retrieval grids mix questions from a range of topics, they’re also a great way to prepare for GCSE exams.
